Position Overview
As an Industry Specialist, you will drive strategic sales growth by developing tailored IoT solutions for large utility providers (electricity, water, gas), councils, and industrial clients across Australia and New Zealand. Your engineering expertise and ability to engage stakeholders at all organisational levels will allow you to shape end-to-end enterprise solutions that deliver tangible ROI and support the transition to smarter, sustainable operations.

Key Skills and Competencies
• Technical Acumen: Strong knowledge of SCADA systems, IoT platforms (especially LoRaWAN), industrial automation, and utility operations
• Sales Leadership: Demonstrated success in complex, high-value sales cycles within industrial or utilities markets.
• Industry Credibility: Ability to speak fluently and persuasively with senior stakeholders on both technical and commercial issues.
• Solution Architecture Orientation: Ability to contribute to solution design with R&D and engineering teams.
• Relationship Management: Skilled at building trust-based, long-term partnerships.
• Growth Mindset: Self-motivated and curious with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field (highly regarded) in addition to any Business related qualification (highly regarded)
• 7+ years’ experience in solution sales, business development, or strategic account management.
• Experience selling into utilities, councils, or industrial infrastructure environments.
• Familiarity with LoRaWAN, SCADA/PLC, or other low-power wide area technologies.
• Proven ability to both cultivate long-term client relationships and proactively identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Experience with channel partner ecosystems is an advantage.
